The Bridgelink Community Centre, Isleworth is now in its 20th year of serving the local community. It is run as a registered charity (Ivybridgelink) by a board of trustees.

Situated on Summerwood Road on the Ivybridge Estate (beside Asda) the Bridgelink Centre hosts a wide range of community events and activities including twice-weekly youth clubs for children and young people as well as Stay-&-Play sessions for parents with under 5’s. We host a Food Bank service, in conjunction with AllSouls Church, and Citizens Advice sessions. Slimming World meet here twice a week and Our Barn groups – a registered charity which runs community-based activities for young people aged (16-to-35) with learning disabilities or autism – is one of our key partners too.

The Bridgelink Centre is also the base for other community projects and events which have been credited with building skills and confidence, aiding integration and reducing isolation among those living on the Ivybridge estate. The centre, its staff and its volunteers form an essential community hub and a focal point for advice and advocacy sessions, drop-in services and special projects. In 2017 the centre’s volunteers were awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Volunteering.

Last cookery session with Gregg produced some delicious and very healthy food.  Home made kebabs with lots of vegetables, superfood salad and yogourt and cucumber dip.  The 10 young people showed great commitment attending every Saturday afternoon for 5 weeks at the Bridgelink Centre kitchen.  Over the 5 weeks participants learnt new skills and lots of interesting facts about food and nutrition.  They made soups, bread, home made pizza, roasted vegetable cous cous with chicken and blueberry scones, all of  which  they were able to take home to eat.  We hope to run more sessions in the summer so please do get in touch if you are interested in taking part.  Contact ivybridgelink@gmail.com or pop into the centre Monday – Thursday morning to register your interest with our administrator Lynne Judge.
