Repair Café Celebrates its 20th Session
A brilliant milestone has been reached at The BridgeLink Centre, with the 20th Repair Café session now successfully completed.
Held on the third Thursday of every month, these sessions have quietly become a valuable part of the local community. In partnership with the fantastic team from Twickenham Repair Café, the initiative offers free, hands-on help to bring broken items back to life rather than sending them to landfill.
From bikes and clothing to electronics, toys, and even furniture, the range of repairs tackled over the past 20 sessions has been hugely impressive. More importantly, it is not just about fixing things. Visitors are shown how repairs are done, giving them the confidence and skills to try things themselves in future.
This mix of practical support, knowledge sharing, and sustainability is what makes the Repair Café so special. It is a simple idea with a big impact – reducing waste, saving money, and bringing people together.
If you have something that needs fixing, why not drop in to a future session? No appointment is needed, just bring your item along and the team will be happy to help.
Here’s to the next 20 sessions.
